The
450 prophets of Baal had done everything to get their god answer by fire, to no
avail. It was then Elijah’s turn. He started by repairing the broken altars;
consequently, the fire came! (1 Kings 18:30-39). This teaches us that we cannot
ignore our broken altars—a significance of broken relationship and fellowship
with God, and expect to receive our desired miracles from Him. In addition to
repairing the broken altars; Elijah also got into an intense prayer, and
travailed like a woman in labour until heaven sent rain (1 Kings 18:42-46).
To
every prophecy or scriptural promises we would claim at any time, there is need
to ask ourselves of anything God would have us do as means of transporting such
miracles into our realm of reality. More often than none, the devil would not
have us receive our miracles or fulfillment of prophecies with ease. Daniel had
to engage in an intense prayers until heaven sent a reinforcement that enabled
the angel deliver his miracles to him (Dan. 10:12-31).
Whenever we receive any prophetic declaration or rhema in relation to a desired miracle; we should not just resort into “calendar-counting” method like a woman monitoring her cycle. We should rather be sensitive enough to know the required actions we must take to transport the miracles into manifestation.
